Moving XHR, DOM Parsing and Pointer Lock to Github

Arthur Barstow-2
Hi All,

All of WebApps' specs are now on Github except XHR, DOM P&S and Pointer
Lock and we would like to move/import these three specs to GH too.

Xiaoqian and I will do the import and we don't expect it to affect you.

After the move is complete, your (obsolete) EDs on Hg will be redirected
to their github equivalent and available on the gh-pages branch as
"index.html" (thus directly viewable as, for example,
<https://w3c.github.io/pointerlock/>). The Hg repos will be configured
as read-only.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

-Thanks, Art and Xiaoqian

Both.

Is XMLHttpRequest still being maintained by the W3C?
https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/xhr/raw-file/default/Overview.html lists May
2014. Last publication was January 2014. https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/
lists July 2015.

My concern is that those implementing and those looking for
documentation on this part of the platform get out-of-date information
that is not being actively maintained if they end up at any of the
URLs made available by the W3C.

Hi Anne,

Yes, it is still the plan of record for WebApps to work on the level 1
version of XHR. If you (or the Editors) disagree with that, please send
your feedback to public-webapps.
