HTML5's <keygen> - Implementation Status Report

Although Apple was one of the supporters of <keygen> they actually push an
entirely different scheme in iPhone:

This scheme has nothing to do with HTML, it doesn't even use JavaScript.

Have already publicly declared that they do not intend to support <keygen>.
They are about introducing something new in Windows 8:

How enrollment works here is currently secret.

Google do support <keygen> in Android.  However, when they added a
more mission-critical function to Android they did probably never
consider using <keygen> because <keygen> is incompatible with E2ES
(End-To-End Security) so they created something new which currently
is secret:
