Accessibility of CAPTCHA: Invitation to Participate in Research Questions Task Force Discussion
The Research Questions Task Force of the APA Working Group plans to
investigate issues of identity and accessible authentication arising from the
use of CAPTCHA as a means of distinguishing human beings from software agents.
This analysis will inform an expected revision of the W3C Note entitled
"Inaccessibility of CAPTCHA: Alternatives to Visual Turing Tests on the Web".
Alternatively, you may contribute by posting your ideas to the RQTF mailing
list at <[hidden email]>.
Note also that the Research Questions Task Force has reserved meeting time at
the W3C Technical Plenary and Advisory Committee Meetings week (TPAC 2016) in
Lisbon, Portugal - 19-23 September. If you wish to participate in an RQTF
meeting at TPAC to discuss CAPTCHA and related topics, please express your
interest via the RQTF mailing list or directly to the Task Force Facilitator,
Jason White <[hidden email]>.
